Service shops typically have what are sometimes called their shop labor rate, or simply shop rate. From that shop rate, a service manager pays for everything the service department does. Our prices are based on a shop labor rate of $60 per hour. The prices we put to our catalog of services are based on industry standards of how much time a task should take under ideal conditions.
